Surgery should always be seen as the last step in the management of Low Back Pain. Unfortuantely some of you will leap frog to this stage with little chance of conservative management such as physiotherapy working whereas for others it may be the only option left despite many months of hard rehabilitation. Either way we feel that is essential that you understand fully what happens during any of our surgeries, the inpatient stay and what we expect from you post-operatively in terms of rehabilitation.
Each of you will be given a pre-operative booklet relating to the surgery you are undegoing. These booklets are very thorough but surgical information is kept to the essentials only for those whom are a little squeemish. These are fully downloadable Here if you have lost or not received one.
The pages on our site are designed to fill in the gaps for those that wish to know more and contain links to other excellent links that will be able to provide you with further vaulable information. If there are questions that are not satisfied here you can either discuss it with Nick at your next appointment or email us on the link in the contacts page. Unfortunately if you are not currently of patient of Nick’s we will not be able to answer individual queries, only those relating to set procedures.
